So I'm Noah Pitcher.
And I'm Daniel Muscato.
So the title of our research is, "The synthesis study of CsPbBr 3 quantum dot based nanocomposites." So basically, we're attempting to shell from [inaudible] dots with different nanocomposites to create photocatalytic activity. One thing that I love about FRI is the opportunity. So it gives me for research, because I'm still an undergrad, but it gives me the background that I would need to join a lab when I'm either a junior senior or even in graduate school.
I'm Zara.
I'm Elana.
And we're both freshmen and our stream is microbial biofilms. So we're looking at anti-biofilm agents for the treatment of cystic fibrosis in lung infections. And we're using PLJ polymers to deliver these drugs to the lungs.
I thought it would be very interesting to go into the lab, something that freshmen or college students don't usually get until graduate school.
I'm Julian Marshall, a sophomore in the biogeochemistry stream of FRI. The title of my research is, "Warming climate poses a major threat to New York State Park." So I was interested in it and then I joined FRI and I got to do my own research. And it really pushed me to think creatively and start working on my own, so it's really helpful. It got me good connections. I've made most of my friends through FRI and I've really enjoyed my time.
